iOS 5 ohne UDID Drittanbieter

Das klingt doch sinnvoll:

Apple schränkt damit für Drittentwickler die Verwendung für die sogenannte UDID, eine individuelle Identifikationsnummer des persönlichen Gerätes, ein. Werbetreibende vollziehen so beispielsweise Nutzeraktivitäten nach. Aber auch App-Store-Programme verwenden diese einzigartige 40-stellige Zeichenkette zur Identifikation um beispielsweise zu erkennen, wenn Anwender eine Software benutzen, löschen und danach wieder neu installieren.

Entwickler sind dazu aufgefordert eine eigene Nummer (beziehungsweise ein individuelles Hashwert-System) zu verwenden (…) Aus Sicht des Nutzers wäre die Neuerung ein zusätzlicher Schutz der Privatsphäre.

Im September 2010 zeigte eine Uni-Studie, dass 68-Prozent der iPhone-Programme aus den ‘Top-Charts’ die UDID übermittelten.

Ein “hidden Feature” des iPhones:

Die Geodaten dieser Datenbank werden durch den iOS-Hintergrunddienst locationd seit iOS 4.0 (respektive iOS 3.2 auf dem iPad) erhoben und in der Datei “consolidated.db” hinterlegt. Seit iOS 3.2 stellt Apple einen eigenen Dienst bereit, den iOS-Geräte zu ihrer schnelleren Ortsfindung nutzen – zuvor griff das Unternehmen auf Datenbanken von Google und Skyhook Wireless zurück. Zugleich übermitteln die iOS-Geräte nach Apples Angabe die jeweils frisch erhobenen Ortsdaten periodisch zurück an das Unternehmen, inklusive der Angabe zu den Mobilfunkmasten und WLAN-Basisstationen der eigenen Umgebung sowie (falls von der Hardware unterstützt) die GPS-Koordinaten. Schaltet der Nutzer die im Auslieferungszustand aktivierten Ortungsdienste in den iOS-Einstellungen ab, sammelt und übermittelt das iOS-Gerät die Geodaten nicht
