  Frontal is a markup and scripting language based on HTML, CSS3 and JavaScript. By embracing these well-known and successful technologies, we believe that we have given developers and designers a great new, open way to work with rich media. Our guiding principles for this approach are:
  1. Flash should be simple & easy. Designers shouldn't have to toil their way through multiple development environments to get something running.
  2. Rich media needs to be web-native. Full SEO, deep linking, and seamless integration with web standards like HTML and JavaScript should be the norm.
  3. Rich media should be easy-to-maintain, reusable, and fully customizable. Recreating the wheel every time is no fun.

Adobe Flash 10.1 unterstützt “Private Browsing”

Das ist doch mal eine sinnvolle Weiterentwicklung beim Flash Player:

Prior to Flash Player 10.1, the player behaved the same whether the browser was in private browsing or not. (…) Starting with Flash Player 10.1, Flash Player actively supports the browser’s private browsing mode, managing data in local storage so that it is consistent with private browsing. So when a private browsing session ends, Flash Player will automatically clear any corresponding data in local storage.
Additionally, Flash Player separates the local storage used in normal browsing from the local storage used during private browsing.

Audio und Video Player gibt es zwar wie Sand am Meer, aber da man immer mal einen braucht hier der Hinweis auf NonverBlaster:hover.

Flash Runtime in Javascript

Tobias Schneider has built a Flash runtime that works right in the browser. It’s implemented in pure Javascript and HTML5, and the whole thing is open source, MIT-licensed, and hosted on GitHub.

Ok, es gibt noch keine Dokumentation, aber die Idee finde ich sehr gut udn offensichtlich plant Adobe etwas ähnliches: Sneak peek: Illustrator + Flash + Dreamweaver -> CANVAS

For those who do not know about Flash cookies, more properly referred to as Local Shared Objects (LSO), they operate in a similar way to regular browser cookies but are stored outside the purview of your browser, meaning you cannot delete them from within your browser, whether Safari, Firefox, Opera or any other. Typically they are issued from sites or 3rd party sites that contain Adobe Flash content. Since virtually all internet advertising is delivered in Flash, Google/Doudleclick and all other internet advertising companies are sure to be tracking your browsing behavior with Flash cookies. These companies can see you traverse the Internet as you come upon the plethora of sites that contain their embedded advertising.
