„Die Biometrie im ePass soll eingeführt werden, um den Identitätsmissbrauch zu verhindern – in Wirklichkeit wird er aber erhöht, weil durch den ePass biometrische Merkmale wie das Bild des Passinhabers mit hoher Qualität weltweit verfügbar gemacht werden“, erklärt der Stellvertretende Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Dr. Johann Bizer. „Was nutzt mir die Vertrauenswürdigkeit eines deutschen Grenzschützers, wenn ich im Ausland meinen Reisepass nicht nur vorlegen, sondern häufig auch aus der Hand geben muss, in vielen Hotels über Nacht, so dass die biometrischen Merkmale ausgelesen und für andere Zwecke verwendet werden können?“
Über die Vertrauenswürdigkeit der hiesigen Beamten lässt sich sicherlich streiten, aber vielleicht versteht der eine oder andere Ich-Habe-Nichts-Zu-Verbregen Vertreter so eine Argumentationskette besser?!
Wilson Miner beschreibt in Setting Type on the Web to a Baseline Grid wie, und mit welchen Einschränkungen, sich Typo im Web an einem Grundlinien Raster ausrichten lässt.
The main principle of the baseline grid is that the bottom of every line of text (the baseline) falls on a vertical grid set in even increments all the way down the page. (…) On the web of course, it’s another story. It’s hard enough to align things vertically with CSS because it’s tough to predict where every element will fall, and it only gets worse when we’re dealing with type, which is hard enough to size consistently on its own. But with a little math and a slightly obsessive attention to detail, we can make it work.
