Europäische Anti-Terror-Forschung
Daten-Speicherung.de berichtet über Ausgaben der EU für “Anti-Terror-Forschung” im nächsten Jahr in Höhe von 15 Mio. Euro.
Im Einzelnen sind die Projekt auf der EU Seite aufgelistet:

- Better integrating and co-ordinating different emergency services for humanitarian operations (CITRINE)
- Protecting the drinking water supply (WATERSAFE)
- Enhancing the detection and protection against biological harmful substances (BODE)
- Enhancing surveillance and tracking while protecting civil liberties and privacy (i-TRACS)
- Elaborating a Software Defined Radio Architectural Framework (WINTSEC)
- Designing models to predict the dispersion of microbes(AEROBACTICS)
- Enhancing European Border security (STABORSEC)
- Increasing the participation of SMEs in security research activities (SECURESME)
- Increasing the preparedness and resilience in case of a bioterrorist event (BIO3R)
- Improving the efficiency of the pedestrian police officer (EuroCop)
- Integrating the overall security market and supply chain (STACCATO)
- Setting up a European network for testing and certification of biometric components (BioTesting Europe)
- Tracking potentially suspicious persons (HAMLeT)
[…] Die EU hat gerade beschlossen, 15 Mio € für Forschungsprojekte auszugeben, die unserer Sicherheit dienen sollen. Einen kurzen Überblick gibt es bei Datenspeicherung und Guymon, hier ist die englische EU-Pressemitteilung, ich habe das ganze auf englisch etwas genauer hier kommentiert. Es riecht jedenfalls ziemlich nach einem europäischen Total Information Awareness. Das Projekt “GATE” z.B. hat als Aufgabe flagging suspicious human behaviours for anti-money laundering/anti terrorism financing to capture more complex behaviours including multidisciplinary aspects beyond utilising transaction data from financial institutions, such as demographics, social networks, lifestyle or cultural behaviours.
